Role #1: Production Coordinator
We’re looking for a self-driven, responsible, organized Production Coordinator who is passionate about leading teams through complex projects from concept to completion.
In collaboration with the Lead Producer and Managing Director, the Production Coordinator is responsible for keeping projects moving smoothly. You’ll work directly with clients to meet their most pressing needs, ensuring their event moves smoothly from concept to completion.
This position will facilitate the complete production process from new client on boarding to event archival and will lend assistance in production, post-production, and to external vendors as needed.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Project
- Lead discovery calls with clients to determine budget, timeline, and framework of events
- Create detailed scopes of work breaking down services offered
- Pitch ideas and projects internally and to potential clients
Pre-Production
- Create event landing pages using WordPress – Manage a company wide calendar and communicate roles and responsibilities producers and crew
- Develop graphic materials for event
- Survey venues and communicate event needs with IT and AV vendors
- With the Lead Producer, hire and process new crew
- Maintain active dialogue with client throughout process
Production
- Coordinate schedules for all crew
- Act as liaison on set between crew, client, venue, and vendors
- Lend support where needed: help set up cameras, make sure crew is fed, keep client happy
Post-Production
- Lead client debrief
- Make minor edits to videos as needed
- Oversee handoff of all deliverables
- Maintain communication with client after the event
Qualifications:
- Experience managing production budgets and local crew
- Fearlessness in making decisions, curiosity in discovering new ideas
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple creative projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage. Freelance experience a plus.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Experience managing social media channels including Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter
- Familiarity with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, WordPress)
- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects
Role #2: Post-Production Associate
We’re looking for a self-driven, creative, enthusiastic Post-Production Associate who is passionate about video production, including shooting, editing, motion graphics, and animation, and is interested in learning the tools behind live video productions.
In collaboration with the Lead Producer and Managing Director, the Post-Production Associate is responsible for finishing projects with aplomb. You’ll create highlight reels, multi-cam live event edits, promos, and broadcast graphics all while maintaining meticulous organizational structure. You’ll need to be able to produce work with quick deadlines, maintain positive communication with your Mainstream colleagues, and be receptive to feedback.
This position will oversee the offline post-production experience, and will occasionally be called upon to help light, shoot, and produce canned video content, as well as edit live streams in real-time using software such as WireCast or Livestream Studio.
Responsibilities:
General
- Organize media across all hard drives, maintain archive of finished projects
- Develop graphic materials to assist in project bidding
- Pitch ideas and projects internally and to potential clients
Pre-Production
- Develop graphic materials for event, including static web-based graphics and dynamic broadcast graphics
Production
- Help produce canned video content, including setup of lighting, sound, and video production equipment
- Operate live switching software, serving as Assistant Producer/Stream Engineer
- Roll graphics, videos, or other graphic features during live streams
Post-Production
- Edit event footage into highlight reels
- Edit collaboratively with teammates on new projects including promos, interviews, educational videos, etc.
- Master final projects for delivery to a variety of mediums
- Oversee handoff of all deliverables
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple creative projects simultaneously
- Experience on set or working live events
- Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
- Understanding of codecs, alpha channels, and other technical aspects of post-production
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage. Freelance experience a plus
- Familiarity with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, WordPress) a plus
- Fearlessness in making decisions, curiosity for discovering new ideas.
